E-mail & Spam

Do filters stop porn coming through over email?

There's a growing Internet problem that filter makers can't properly address - the threat of porn, viruses and other annoying garbage coming through as spam.

Filters do nothing to patch over this problem, when kids can still get that kind of spam on their Hotmail or MSN account, even with porn filters installed on your machines. So where's the vaunted protection?

Some experts argue that email porn is even more dangerous than Web porn. KidLib eliminates all access to web-based mail clients, and completely protects children from all predator sites as well. Filtering can't even begin to do that.

How does KidLib deal with e-mail?

KidLib can block access to web-based mail clients providing you use our WebSearch software to access the Internet, and not try to access the site using a browser to talk through our proxy server. We don't block POP3 or IMAP mail servers or chat services. Your IT staff are the only ones who can enforce policy to do that.
